About the Job:
Our Load Planner will be responsible for utilizing judgment and discretion for the planning of assigned drivers and loads to maximize the utilization of drivers and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring all booked loads are covered for timely pickup and delivery, and work with other members of the planning team to create efficient load plans that maximize loaded mile utilization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will perform functions including:
- Design a daily plan for freight movements and be in contact with customers to assure their needs are met in the execution of a plan.
- Communicate plans with the driver manager to make sure the execution can be met with the availability of drivers.
- Deliver learning solutions that align with high-priority business needs and maintain compliance with internal requirements and external regulations.
- Problem solve the exceptions that occur daily for recovery planning
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior knowledge in the logistics or transportation field
- Truckload experience
- Knowledge of TMW system
What You’ll Need for Success:
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible in adopting changes quickly.
- Must be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to investigate problems and opportunities and systematically approach them to make improvements both short-term and long-term.
